Canberra's improvised theatre company

The Canberra Impro Theatre Challenge

This is a locally run challenge, created in conjunction with The Street Theatre, to raise the profile of Improvised Theatre and increase students confidence in performance. Students will improvise in team events against each other, using Drama games to gain points for their school and themselves, to uncover who is Canberra’s best Improviser.

The Challenge is divided into two divisions, High School (years 9-10) and College (years 11-12) and schools may enter up to six students per division. Through learning improvisation games students will learn new skills to apply to other areas studied in Drama.

We also offer a Workshop for teachers to brush up on their Impro skills and games knowledge. This Workshop will be held at Daramalan College, Week 1, Term 2, Thursday the 30th of April Once signed up teachers will also receive a booklet which includes all the requirements for the Challenge.

Both Divisions perform on the 20th of June.
